Z has been asleep since 0230, great, but its now 0730 and I'm not sure if I should wake her for a feed?! I know its lovely to have got some sleep but now I'm worrying that she needs to wake up! She is breastfed (milk is just about coming in now) and sometimes goes 3 hours between sometimes less than an hour so I'm not sure what to do now!
What would you do?

I think I'd wake her while she's still so little. How nice to have got a five hr stretch! X

Personally with the heat and as she is still teeny i would wake her. Jealous of your sleep though!! Xx

Don't be jealous, I'm sure it'll be back to hourly tonight!!

When Florrie was tiny we were told to demand feed but not go over 5 hours - so I'd wake her

I'd definitely wake her, feeding every three hours in the early days will also establish your supply. We were a bit different as S was ill, and we had feeding problems because of this but the hospital advised we wake him to feed every 3 hours, he was very, very sleepy and quite difficult to wake. That soon changed ;)
Hope you got a much needed rest in the night!

I was told by the MW in hospital that a 6 hour stretch was fine once every 24 hours. S has been going from 11 till 4 or 5am then back down til 9 ish. He's just had a 5 minute feed and is zonked again - hard life being a newborn!
