The health visitor and others have said not to bother chnaging nappies at night unless it's a poo so last night I didn't chnage E at all as she slept quite well and had't pooed but this morning her bum was quite red and sore, so do you do a change at night? even if it wakes baby up a bit.
Also is there any creams that anyone can recommend for use with cloth nappies for nappy rash.

I don't change Ollie overnight unless its a poo, do you put a fleece liner in to help keep the wetness off her skin?

If Henry's got nappy rash I use metanium and it clears it up almost straight away. I make sure I have a paper and fleece liner in to protect the nappy but I use them regardless anyway. For normal night nappies if he has no nappy rash I use sudocream to protect his bum from it being on all night. And again I make sure there's a fleece liner

Thanks, yes I always use a fleece liner - so does this protect the nappy enough from sudo crem then? - didn't even think of that!

I was told not to use sudocream or metanium with nappies but as long as I have a paper and fleece liner I don't see the problem as it doesn't have contact with it. Never had issues

Waitrose bottom butter.
Fixes everything and is all natural. It's also cheaper than other creams. It's brilliant stuff and totally cloth friendly :)

The metanium is fab but really bright yellow. Stained a few of Es baby grows and my white vest so definitely be careful with the nappies. For everyday we use Bepanthum.
When E was about 7 weeks I stopped changing at night (she's not ever been dirty at night) but when she was smaller I'd do it religiously at each feed as their skin is so delicate and the smell so strong. Id do it before a feed so as not to wake her needlessly though as she was already awake.

Cjs is good. You can use anything really as long as the liner covers all of the nappy x

Another vote for Cjs, oh I could just eat some of those flavours.

Oh, we change at pretty much every feed. Although I seem to have an exceptionally wet baby! Our cloth nappies are soaked through by the time he wakes up for his night feed (about 6 hours). I think we've only managed to do two nights without changing him. But he generally wakes up starving anyway, so is wide awake!
We've also just used sudocreme if he has a sore bottom.

sorry late back to this! thanks I will have a look at those creams - never heard of cjs - and will see how we go, if she is wide awake I may still do one change x
