O no longer gives any feeding cues. I used to know when he was looking for a feed before he started weaning but I've just been feeding him roughly every 5 hours and he used to take it fine but has been so fussy with bottles recently (which I put down to teething). Does anyone else's LO not ever show their hungry?
My H has asked me a few times if he's maybe not hungry but I honestly don't know! So today he had a bottle when he woke at 7:30 then weetabix and a couple of bits of pear at about 8:30. He had a nap in the car on the way to swimming, we were in the pool 10:30-11 and then nipped to get some shopping and he fell asleep again in the car on the way home. I put him in his highchair when we got in and he was fine so I gave him some finger food about 12:30 which he messed about with and ate while we had lunch and then I have him a bottle at 1:30 which he did take better than normal and only left 1oz of the 8oz bottle (he's been leaving at least 2-3oz before). He was clearly shattered so I put him in his cot just before 3 and he's slept until half 5. I'm going to give him solids now for tea then bath him and give him a bottle and put him to bed for the back of 8.
Preciously our routine was a clear -
bottle at 7ish followed by b/fast then down for a nap.
Bottle at 12, playtime, then down for a nap
bottle at 5pm, then solids
bath and bed
lift him for a feed between half 9 and half 10
so do I just drop the last feed tonight and see if he wakes looking for a feed in the night and just feed him if so? Or do I still give him a bottle about 10 when he will only have eaten at 8pm?
At 32weeks is 3 8oz bottles (he leaves about an oz) ok?
(stresser, stresser, stresser!)

When O was that age, he had 3 7oz bottles a day. So our day went : wake at 8am breakfast and fruit, bottle at 9:30 then nap. Lunch at 12 bottle at 13:30 then nap, dinner at 5 then bottle at 7 and nothing else until the morning.
So sounds about right to me!

Thanks ladies. He was hysterical during his bath (he NEVER cries in the bath!) so it was a super quick bath and he had a bottle at half 6. There's no way he will go from now to morning without a feed so I'll lift him at 10pm and feed him again.
Mrs B is M fine having solids first thing in the morning rather than a bottle? I can't imagine O just taking food before a bottle when he's not eaten for 9 hours or whatever. Maybe I don't give my wee man enough credit!

I can't remember the exact ages but both of mine were up and down with milk intake when weaning. It might increase again in a short while so just see how it goes but it sounds fine. If he's also having it in cereal etc don't forget to count that and add in things like cheese with food and it will be fine.

Thanks ladies. Mrs B I left him and he woke at...10:38 lol so I made him a bottle and he took 6oz and went to bed. We tried soya y'day for the first time and had an awful night with him so safe to say he is also allergic to that!
Thanks Pip, O has got cmpi so no dairy for him, it's the reason I worry about his calcium as the calcium amount in his milk is so low compared to actual milk! He takes some formula in cereal but doesn't really like it and he can't have yogurts or cheese or anything.
Today we have gone for
7am - bottle
8:30 - b/fast
11:30 - bottle
2:00 - light finger food
4:30 - bottle
6:00 - tea
7:00 - bath then bed
And I'll feed him around 9:40/10ish again.
I'll just keep offering the bottles and he can take what he wants. I'm trying to keep his solids to calcium rich foods but it's more difficult when you have no dairy option.

I think it was around that time that S stopped showing any feeding cues so now it's more a case of offering him milk rather than responding to his hunger. We do breakfast first (bad, I know but he never wanted his morning bottle) at about 7, then nap, then bottle around 10.30 (7oz) then lunch at 12.15ish, nap from 2-3.30, then 5oz bottle and tea at 5ish, bottle before bed at 7.
He is ridiculously fussy on his bottle after his afternoon nap but he still needs the milk really so I've taken to giving to him in a nuby straw cup and its been loads better.
