Can anyone suggest any good places to look for curtains? I'm after black out ones and want them to go with the baby blue and white wallpaper I have my eye on. I've run out of places to try.
Thanks lovely ladies x

You don't want to talk to me about curtains. I have ended up buying fabric and making them myself - well actually mum has stepped in and taken over because H was getting worried that I was getting too stressed.

Sorry to have touched a nerve, can you loan me your mum ;-)

Next, Dunelm, Harry Corry, eh can't think of anywhere else just now. Have you tried just googling blue blackout curtains?

Thanks Ally. Have tried Next and Dunelm, but not Harry Corry so will look there. Am currently googling away!

Have you tried Dunelm? Theirs are all blackout, though they don't have a lot of nursery-ish ones, they are nice. I felt like I looked bleeding everywhere! Our Dunelm ones are very good quality.

Although I am actually having some made with a material I found on the internet (cost £42) blackout lining bought from Dunelm (£18) and a sewing lady is charging me £25 to make it all into curtains. Total is a lot cheaper than buying a ready made pair and I'm getting exactly what I want!

Thanks ladies. I have looked at Dunelm, but will take another look. Hadn't thought of B and Q twink, will look there too, thanks.

Oh me, me!! There is this amazing website (link below) and they do amazing curtains at brilliant prices. I needed 72" drop ones for both P and G's rooms, both had blackout ones and they were about £25 a pair with tiebacks. Briliant service and fantastic quality. They arrived they day after i ordered and their designs are the best i have seen by far.

What about just adding a black out lining to normal curtains? This is what we've done in our bedroom and you can't tell. Got the linings from Dunelm and they were easy to fit.

Thanks MM, I will have a little look there. Thanks for the glowing recommendation.
I was wondering if that was possible PW. I am useless at anything like that, but could see if someone could do it for me. That would give me more options on choice as I wouldn't have to stick to blackout ones.
Thanks ladies! x

I think if you got separate blackout linings they just clip to the curtains. No sewing involved! X
