Ive been diagnosed with obstetric cholestasis, and have been booked in for an induction on the 24th November when I will be 38 weeks.
Has anyone any experience of early induction? Am worried it is going to fail, as it will be too early.

I had OC and was induced at 38 weeks as my bile acids went back up. It took 3 days for Ben to be born, I was induced with a pessary on the Thursday evening at about 6pm, 2nd one at 6am on Friday, 3rd Friday evening. By 2am Saturday morning I was 1/2cm dilated! this was from nothing and my cervix not being ready in Thursday evening, Saturday afternoon I was taken to the delivery suite to have my waters broken, and Ben was born at 5.57am on Sunday. Happy to answer any other questions you have

I was induced at 37 weeks, O was born within an hour of the peasant going in, and just 24 mins in established labour. It was intense but a dream. I'd have a baby every nine months if I could have his birth again xxx good luck Hun xxx

Thankyou for your replies. Nice to hear that induction might not turn out to be the horror story Im expecting!
Am really nervous, have to be at the hospital at 8pm, will be monitored, pessary inserted then H will be sent home. Am not good with pain, so hoping nothing major happens that night.
Section4, when do you get your results?
