So has mine but I have one in the bedroom.
I hope I'm not a screamer!

Actually I found it harder to watch after I'd had my daughter as I wasn't allowed to get into the pool until I was at least 5cm & I found myself yelling at the tv saying it's not fair that they let you in the pool that early in labour!!!

Do they get in earlier in the show then BK? I've heard that getting in too early can slow labour.

I got in the pool when not in established labour mid induction.

It's funny to watch it while pregnant and think to yourself that you hope you're not going to be a screamer (I thankfully was not). It's funny to watch from the other side too.

Saffron: It never really says but I've never seen anyone arguing with a mw about not being allowed in & I've never heard it mentioned (sorry major bug bear of mine & 1 of the reasons I'm hoping to have a home water birth & get in the pool when I want to!!!).
& yes, I cry with almost all of the births. Thought it would help me with my boy name search but it really hasn't!!

I watched it when pg with J, as I thought it'd be a good idea to prepare my H. He is very squeamish, and there was a strong chance i'd need a CS. I wanted him to see the process, so he could get his head round it, incase it happened.
I'd already had a child, so knew what to expect, but did find myself shouting at some of the women to "shut the hell up, it's really not THAT bad"

Now I'm expecting no.2 I can't watch it. It was different with N, I knew nothing!

I never watched it before preg, refused to watch it during, and I'm wayyy too broody to be able to watch it now! :)

AK did your H find it beneficial? I got mine to watch some bits for similar reasons - I'd point out forceps deliveries etc and he did find it quite useful. He said it made him realise what things looked like so he wasn't shocked when I actually ended up needing ventouse and forceps.
I do get a bit annoyed with the histrionics sometimes although I know everyone handles pain differently. I was pretty quiet though.
