Well on Saturday I had a private sexing scan and after a while of the poor sonographer playing hide and seek with my little one she went on to say she was sure my baby is a girl - she couldn't find any suggestions of 'boys parts' and proceeded to mention 'the nub' and showed us the 3 lines that indicate girl too... now for two reason I'm paranoid that i'll be told at my 20 week she is actuallu a he...
firstly.. when I was pregnant with my son 8 years ago I was told he was actually a girl and it was only at an unplanned scan at 26 weeks I was that he was actually a boy.... and
secondly... I think I've been soooooo convinced I was carrying a boy this time (maybe due to that fact I have a boy already) that's I'm finding it difficult to absorb the fact I could be carrying a beautiful little girl...
I wondered if any of you would mind taking a look at the scan picture just to confirm whether you can see the 3 lines and if any of you have had similar experiences..
Thank You xx

I'm so sorry, I was keen to help, but I can't even tell what I'm looking at!!!! Please don't be offended, I'm just useless at ultrasounds!! Good luck and please let us know! xx

I can see the 3 lines and looks like a girl to me.
I have 3 girls 1 boy and you could definitely tell the difference!!
If you were at least 16 weeks or more then I would trust the sonographer. The Nub theory is only reliable between 12-13 weeks and even then you need a nice clear image!
good luck and congratulations x

Thank You very much for your reply, I feel its quite a clear scan picture of her 'bits' to show a girl when i've looked online at google images lol... I think i'm just convinced that what happened with my son will happen again ( not that I mind either way weather I was having a girl or boy) I think I'm just still in shock - she spent half an hour searching for boy bits but said there were no sign of any and I was 16+2 when I had the scan.
Going by my 12 week scan I can see the nub and it indicates girl ( well from what ive read up online it does - so what the sonographer said tallys with that - I suppose I should stop obsessing over it and wait patiently for the next 4 months - and just hope im not going to have to put a little boy in frilly knickers lol xx

Hi alk... If it helps to reassure you here is a pic of my boy at his 20 week scan... the boy parts are pretty obvious so i would say if your sonographer was looking that long & didn't find any boy bits then you coukld be fairly confident its a girl!
