Ok so we've booked the ceremony for 3pm on Friday 14th February - Valentine's Day.
You might think that's cheesy.... you might think it's romantic....
The truth is it's not peak-season and it's a Friday so it's a frickin' steal

I think it's a lovely date, although your reason's good enough
So what's the venue? Any other ideas??
Oh wow what a perfect day to get married!!!
Are you going to have a Valentines theme? x

We will get married (likely) at the registry office (50 guests) and then on to a nice hall for drinks, pics, some form of grub (think hog roast, chip van - not sit down meal with speeches) and then get pissed, probably while my Dads band plays!
Oh and I fancy teal as the colour. Maybe teal hearts can be the theme. Thoughts?

That all sounds perfect to me

Teal was our theme colour at our wedding. Good choice! How exciting!

Oh that sounds prettty perfect and a gorgeous colour that will work well with white/ivory/cream, with hearts!
Ooh I love wedding planning, all sounds amazing! I love the idea of teal hearts! We got married on a week day it saved us loads of money!
Teal is a great colour (I had it for my wedding!!) Not sure what you are planning, but I got my bridesmaid dresses from bhs ... I think they still do teal.
Also one word of warning, my friend got married around valentine's and discovered that flowers were really expensive!!
Happy planning x

Sounds like a great plan! Love the ideas for food, and I love teal, gorgeous colour!
You going to be going back to Hitched WP??
My bridesmaids had the BHS dresses, in red and they looked amazing and where a lot cheaper than the wedding shops.

what no dove release?
sounds brill, i love teal. you need rock n roll bride in your life, i love this blog and i'm not even getting married! (i am biaised though as she featured my sister's wedding on there).

Ah brill that people used teal - let's get some pics up then people! Inspiration! Thanks for the tip-off about flowers. I have a friend who is a florist so fingers crossed she will do me some sort of deal. I'm actually not a very flowery person so I doubt we'll be spending much on them anyway!
Will have a look at bhs!
DD I can't imagine I'll be over on WP. I might have a few questions, but that ship has sailed!

BW that's a brilliant site! Gonna read through your sisters wedding - she looks fab!
Nixxy NooDD I can't imagine I'll be over on WP. I might have a few questions, but that ship has sailed!
Oh good, we can all help you plan anyway
So what sort of dress are you going to have??
27/03/2013 at 10:09
Oooh yay this is so exciting. Teal is a lovely colour but can be a bit of a b*gger to match if you are fussed about that kind of thing!
I'm assuming it's next year so 14/02/14 which is a great date!
27/03/2013 at 10:12
Saisi hadn't realised that about the date - how cool! And no, not really worried about things matching exactly. Maybe the theme could be miss-matched teal hearts
DD.... short. I'm going to be slinky and slim by then, so I'd like a cream/ivory/pale dress that shows off my legs! Then some bright teal heels!
I actually bought this dress a while back because I loved it for getting married in. Will see how it fits when I'm skinny!

That dress is gorgeous, I love all the lace and I have no doubt you'll be sexy and slinky by then!!
