O's birth rush a rush job to say the least....24 mins!!! I had a 2nd degree for which I had stitches and unlike C's birth, they have been absolutely fine. My bleeding has been really weird. I've not really had many clots, but the bleeding seems to be on the way out then its starts up again with a gush of red blood. I feel ok in myself but when I sneeze, or stand up and sit down I have terrible aches and pains low down, under where my bump would have been. It's really strange. It's not stopping me soon my day to day stuff but it is hurting. Midwives aren't concerned at all so I've not been, but its two weeks on now and as my stitches are doing really well I'm wondering what's going on with the pains. Midwife has felt my tummy and is happy with that. I don't want to make a fuss, maybe it's muscular pain from such a quick delivery?? Did anyone else experience something similar??

I'm sure it's not anything to worry about as the others have said but DO keep an eye on it and if it gets worse make sure you get it checked with a second opinion.
With my first I ended up back in hospital for a few days when DD was a week or 2 old as a bit of the placenta had got left behind and went unnoticed, the bleeding was up and down and was getting some pains - the midwife was feeling my tummy on each visit and said all was fine. But one day the bleeding got really heavy again and fast flowing with a few little clots, I rang the hospital in the end who advised me to come in via ambulance just incase (eek!) - as I arrived at the hospital I passed a massive clot, was about the size of a newborns head!
Not saying it to worry you lol, as like I said chances are all is fine, but listen to your body and if you are concerned seek a 2nd opinion.

Yuk!!!! That sounds awful Mum2be!!! I hope its nothing untoward like this!! Today it is lighter again....fingers crossed its on the back foot. I will keep an eye out. We haven't been discharged from the midwives yet so they are coming again Thursday. I will keep mentioning it. Its hilarious as in my notes it says that I have "voiced no concerns and am feeling very well". I don't think that's exactly what I have said to the MW lol.

I have only just stopped bleeding - it came and went loads, and passed a couple of large clots (thankfully I was in the shower - I wondered why the bath wasn't draining, the clot was so big it covered the plug hole sorry for the TMI)
Signs of an infection include getting a temperature, so keep an eye out for that too.

I too had a v quick delivery(21mins active) and though no stitches the changing flow of bleeding and pain sounds familiar....I was told was just afterpains, only to get concerned if cpits bigger than.50p piece, temperature etc. Flow will get heavier the more active you are so try and rest up if yiu can....easier said than done at the mo I know x

Ha... Famous last words eh "take it easy"! Honestly not a stitch of ironing has been done before, during or after my hospital stays. My H is however exhausted
