I bought one of those things too with my first pregnancy. It said you could hear the heartbeat from 14 weeks. BUT, I never heard his heart beat til I was 22 weeks!!!! He is an absolutely perfect almost 5 year old. I too got really upset one day though - we were on holiday and I was 19 weeks, couldn't hear the heartbeat with that thing (can't remember the brand) and couldn't feel any kicks either. But he was fine
Good luck xx

When you saw dr for reassurance chloeleigh did they listen for heartbeat? I haven't had any personal experience with the fetal dopplers you can use yourselves but heard not always reliable. Xx

I've thought about buying a home doppler but this is the exact reason why I didn't! Because I knew I'd just panic if I couldn't hear anything.
The heartbeat can be pretty hard to find at 15 weeks, especially if you don't really know what you're trying to find. Baby could be being stubborn and be in an awkward position. The position of your placenta can make a difference too. My midwife wouldn't even try and find one until 16 weeks for that reason and she's a trained professional. I bet there are a lot of women who'd struggle to find it themselves at 15 weeks!
If you've been checked by the doctor and they've said everything is fine then I'd try to stop worrying (easier said then done, I know) x

Hi, I use a Doppler and my m/w is against them so I had to swear to only use it for entertainment value
Soon many things have to be right for you to hear a h/b that more often than not in the early months you don't hear it, baby's position, placenta placement, how much is in your bladder and how sensitive the Doppler is for eg.
Its much easier once your uterus is up above the pubic bone and baby is bigger.
Please dont worry if Dr has said all is well I'm sure it is, by all means keep playing hunt the baby but don't worry if he is shy x

Forgot to say try looking online for some instructional videos for your Doppler, I found them fascinating and helpful when I was learning x
