I was, as for maternity clothes I tended to live in leggings and long jumpers.
I have a pair of extra stretchy black trousers at home, I think they're a 20, and they saw me through my last pregnancy for work. If you're interested I can take pics for you?

its a real pain ! iv emailed DP, evans and new look just to ask why ? they are missing loads of business. i dont think ill struggle for tops but its the trousers that im worried about !

I'm an 18 so have been able to squeeze into some high st maternity lines, but also bought more plus sized stuff from asos curve range.

BW-i guess normal tops in a slightly larger size would be fine ? i rekon now i think about it most of my tops will see me through for quite a while!

Should be. Depends where you end up carrying any additional weight. I was quite lucky in that I actually lost weight everywhere (had GD so was on massively strict diet) but had a massive bump, but that also meant that plus sizes didn't necessarily work as they were massive in the shoulders and arms. I didn't buy any mat wear until my 1st tri had passed, but I used a hairband on my waistbands to extend them. Bump bands are also useful.
Also, dependant on where you put weight on, you might find you can go down a size in mat wear. I normally carry all my weight on my tummy which means I need a bigger dress size to accommodate that, but because when you're pregnant your tummy is massive anyway, my legs bum and other places were almost more in proportion IYSWIM so I could go down to a 16 or even, shock horror but fark me I was so pleased, a 14!

blimey thats amazing BW - not the GD obviously haha !
im booked into the diabetes clinic 4th oct as they say im high risk of GD
i like the sound of the hairband i might have to try this.
iv seen bump bands i thisnk they look good as im scared ill have a B belly and not a D belly.
NikNak i went on their website today and they no longer sell any ,im so upset i might even send them an email !

I was. I never wore maternity clothes though, despite my mega bump. I wore clothes I already had, or bought stuff with stretch, that I could wear afterwards.

Me! I live in the kind of town where nobody stocks maternity wear anyway (helpful!) so have had to order all of my maternity stuff online anyway.
Mostly I haven't bothered; I've bought leggings in the next size up (or 2 sizes up, because they've all come from Sainsbury's and instead of buying 16-18, I have 20-22) and worn them with non-maternity long tops. I've also lived in a lot of maxi dresses which are empire cut.
I bought 1 pair of maternity linen trousers from Mothercare and did use them a lot, but they wore through at the thighs and due to the material, had to be binned rather than repaired. I also bought 1 maternity t-shirt from Debenhams which has been brilliant, expensive for a t-shirt but thick, comfy and washes really well.
More recently I bought 2 pairs of yoga pants from mothercare which I now live in; I also bought some double packs of t-shirts from Asda online (£10 for 2) and a couple of pairs of maternity joggers (£8 each) - I think they go up to size 22?
