Day 5 and today Iris has fed twice in public! Once in Costa and currently latched on at the park while N plays on the swings with Daddy.
This is a big deal for me as on day 5 with Ned I had suspected mastitis, a raging temp and was cup feeding as my nipples were like craters.
Go my boobs and my little girl!!

Fantastic, well done!
Bloody hell, that is amazing! How have you managed so much today too?

We had to go out for 1pm VE to get the heel *** test, so popped to Costa afterwards and then came home and walked to the park. My stitches are sore now though!

Fab work Mrs! You give me hope that it won't take so long to be able to get out and about.
23/04/2013 at 18:06
I do think its easier to get out and about with number 2 because you HAVE to IYSWIM?
N has school tomorrow which is a 9am drop off which will be interesting!
I need to make sure we're as organised as possible tonight I think!

Well done you and I! x

Yeah, I guess so. I remember being pleased I managed to feed in Costa at just over 3 weeks last time, although it was far from stylish and not dry discreet, the thought of not going out for 3.5 weeks this time fills me with dread!

I know what you mean! I stayed home for ages with Ned.
Today was a tester really as after dropping N at school tomorrow, we are driving 1.5 hrs into central London in order to introduce Iris to my very poorly best friend who is in a private hospital up there. It'll involve public feeding, lunch on the Marylebone High Street and lying in her carrycot for quite a bit of the day. I must be mad!
BUT I have no choice, she needs to meet my best friend as we don't know how long she'll be hospitalised for.
I'm hoping she'll sleep in the car as is still so tiny!!

Well done you and Iris! Hope tomorrow goes well and your friend enjoys meeting your gorgeous girl x

I hadn't realised she was so poorly again, sorry to hear that. Of course you need to take her, I reckon you and Iris will do it no probs too x

We went out yesterday for her hearing test as we weren't in hospital long enough for them to do it when she was born. but fortunately she didn't need feeding. I would have cried! I really hope tomorrow goes well, am sure she will be fine. Lunch out sounds lovely, enjoy showing her off to your friend, I am so sorry she is so poorly x

I hope tomorrow's journey is an easy one...I miss it now O doesn't fall asleep almost instantly in the car...driving to my parents is much more "interesting" than it was when he was teeny! Sending lots of vibes to your friend too, I'm sure a visit from you and Iris wil give her a lift xx

Hearing test VE? I'm not sure Iris has had hers yet? Is that a standard hospital check?
23/04/2013 at 21:01
Well done you and little Iris. Hope tomorrow's trip goes OK
Re the hearing test - my HV did this on their 1st or 2nd visit so don't worry if I hasn't had hers yet

Hi yes here they do it pre being discharged but as we went home after 4 hours we had to go back.
