LP, good luck!
Mine was a long time ago, so maybe it's a different process now, but it was just fine!
I had a pessary about 9-10am and lay still for 2 hours. Then I was instructed to walk constantly, the nurses told me off if they saw me sitting down. Then another pessary around 2-3pm; lay still, then walking.
6pm I got sickness and diarrhoea and naively assumed I was allergic to the drug, not that it was all kicking off! Hung around on the labour suite from then, progressing slowly, about 12.30am my baby boy popped out! I was pretty happy with that -
Hope yours is as uneventful and swift :)

I was induced on the Friday after my waters went on Wednesday evening (reflexology + chocolate chilli tea if you want to try it!) When I got to the hospital I was already 3-4cm so o didn't have the prostin and just went straight on the syntocin drip at 2pm. I plonked myself on the yoga ball and things got going straight away. After 4 hours, I started on gas + air and was fully dilated by midnight so it progressed quite steadily. S was born at 1.53am so the induction worked well. They say that contractions on syntocin can be more intense but I think knowing that helped me prepare myself and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, I just got myself in the zone - yoga breathing helps enormously if you can stay focused.
Good luck! Don't listen to the horror stories, I'm a big believer that fear and apprehension make it worse so try to stay positive. You will be meeting your baby soon! :)

No experience but just wanted to let you know my fingers are crossed that things kick off before then. If not hope things are swift and uneventful. You will soon be having newborn cuddles x

Not exactly the same as I was induced to to my waters trickling for 24 hours. Got into the delivery room at 8am and was put on the drip, contractions started soon after. He was born at 14.50. Sorry, it's not detailed but shows how quick it can happen with induction.
I am keeping my fingers crossed that things happen naturally but either way, soon you will be having squishy sparkley cuddles! xx

Hi LP, I went in on a tues 1st gel at 5pm which didnt do anything. Givem second gel at 1am still nothing, I was encouraged to walk so I paced the ward all night trying to get things started! Went to delivery wed at 9.30, waters broken at 10.45, drip started at 11 and taken for a EMCS at 11.10.
I know this isnt a so called positive story and before it happened this scanerio was my worst nightmare BUT my EMCS was positive the midwife made sure I had everything I felt strongly about skin to skin etc. I have everything crossed for you it goes very straight forward for you but I would do it again in a heartbeat and O is only 8 weeks old!
