Does anyone know if it's safe to fly when pregnan?
i booked a holiday and since then suffered a M/C. Now il be 16/17 weeks when due to fly but for 2weeks on off I suffered a brown bleed.
no one really gave me advise other than its a personal choice and no evidence to prove it can cause harm.
has anyone flown when pregnant with a bleed early on?

It is generally accepted that women can fly up to third trimester and would need a Dr's note etc after second trimester.
I had my son who was stillborn in Feb and I'm roughly 5 weeks pregnant now. I spoke to my consultant about flying and she said they will check my clotting levels to make sure I don't need to be given aspirin or injections but other than that she said it will be fine to fly. I go on holiday at the end of July in 8 weeks.
May be worth speaking to your midwife / GP .
Hope that helps xx

Different airlines have different rules on the 'cutoff' point for flying (some will say no once past 26wks while others will permit up to 36wks ) but they may ask you carry a Dr note with the specific wording 'fit to fly' upon it. It can be advised to wear anti thrombosis socks for the flight too.

I flew when 17 weeks and I felt fine. Was only a 3 hour flight though, was comfy and had no problems.
They say it's normally under 12 weeks it may be dangerous to fly. I did with my first pregnancy at 5 weeks and 11 days after the flight I miscarried so whether that was related, who knows =/
