I have a drs apt for this arvo to get it looked at. Will this be with me now for the rest do the pregnancy!? Will cream actually work? Will I ever not walk like John Wayne again?? I'm scared to have a poo!!
And I'm more scared if doing a Nixxy Noo and loosing the cap up my ar5e!!!! Help!!!!!

@ Nixxy - that reminder has made me smile this morning!
They should be able to give you some cream that will help, not sure how much good it will do while you're actually still pregnant though since mine didn't appear until during the birth so didn't have the same pressure of the baby pushing down.

Mine still here munchkin, says hello every now and then! Oh the joys!
They were pretty bad when I was pregnant, although one still there, no where near as bad now-7months later. Have you tried to push them back?
Oh no that sounds truly awful. I have been almost waiting for this to happen to me during preg! Really hope the Dr. can do something, and it isn't the story for your whole pregnancy. Also of course hoping you don't do a Nixxy

I am a bit of an expert on piles unfortunately, having had thrombosed piles at 16 weeks pregnant last time which lead to surgical removal ... nice.
Anyway, the creams can help. I was also given a local anaesthetic spray which helped as well. It is unlikely that they will go while you are pregnant. You really need to make sure that you don't get constipated though as that is only going to make it worse, it might be worth asking for some lactulose too although I managed with diet.

I'm not constipated as such, but not going very often as my food intake is so little at the mo due to HG. I can't sit down :-(

Oh Munchkin, it's horrid I know.

Oh I feel your pain! I didn't have them as bad as you sound but the cream did help, once I gave birth the relief was instant as the pressure wasn't there anymore- hope the Dr can offer something to help

Stick the Anusol up there. Take fibogel or something to make your poo soft. x

He said a couple have tiny clots in so if they get worse go to A&E. The others are ok and he has given me Anusol suppositories to use. Fingers crossed they get better, the last place I want to be says with piles is A&E!!!
22/01/2013 at 17:38
Eek, clots is not good. I know, I couldn't walk up stairs to get to bed they were that painful. I really hope they clear up asap for you

I'm glad you've mentioned piles. I'm sure I have them but only because it hurts to poo and there's always a bit of a poo strain blood after I've pooed.... I'm mostly quite constipated. Could that be piles? It doesn't hurt any other time which is why I've not seen a Dr?
22/01/2013 at 19:39
Hep could be internal piles or could be a fissure. Either way, grab some Anusol and squirt it up there!
22/01/2013 at 19:54
Yeah the dr had a good old look and rummage. A normal pile is pink, the clotted ones are often blue and apparently I have a couple go those. They have to be cut out yuk!!
22/01/2013 at 20:14
I don't like this thread I think I may have some after delivering C you know, but unlike what I read they're not painful, just 'there'? Do they have to be cut? Am I gonna have to show a doctor
22/01/2013 at 20:18
If they don't bother you hun then leave them alone they only need to be sorted if they bother you xx
22/01/2013 at 20:20
It's not normal though is it, to just leave them there? Oh the shame
22/01/2013 at 20:23
Absolutely fine to leave them there is they aren't causing you any problems, you can also try to push them back up inside.
Another way of telling if they are potentially clotted without having to look is if they are solid. Oh this is such a lovely topic of conversation.

But aren't they gross? I can't let my H round there with those can I?! Oh jesus!
