Anyone know when you should stop sleeping on your back during pregnancy? I have always slept on my back and really struggle to fall asleep on my side!
Any recommendations for pregnancy pillows that will stop me from going onto my back during the night?

I have a pregnancy pillow, one of the ones that goes over your shoulder and between your knees. That said, I always used to go to sleep on my tummy and wake up on my back and at least half the time I'm still waking up on my back now despite the pillow and extra pillows behind me. And I am able to get my left leg out from under the pillow in my sleep! I've given up worrying about it now though. I got one of the summer ones when there was an offer on with bounty.

I wouldn't worry about sleeping on your back.
No matter how i went to sleep, i'd always end up on my back. I ended up using my pillow, to help my spd, and to support bump

I wouldn't worry about it. I bought a Dream genii pregnancy pillow early on and it's only just becoming useful now. I was worried and I asked my mw who said that your body will tell you when you should be sleeping on your side because it'll be too uncomfortable on your back and she was right. I don't go on my back any more.

I couldn't sleep on my back towards the end as the pressure of baby was too much pushing back on me. If I'd got there accidentally it'd make me dizzy and my doctor then told me that I should really be sleeping to my left side. Can't remember the reason, something to do with blood flow I think..
I had a dream gennii which is brilliant. Definitely worth the investment.

Thank you all for putting my mind at rest! I did wonder if it was a little scaremongering but as it is my 1st time you almost get blinded by what you should/shouldn't be doing! Is still very early on so am still very comfy on my back, think I will wait until it no longer is before I worry about it!

I spoke to my MW about this as I have always been a back sleeper and she said don't worry about it until the baby is much bigger and by then it's unlikely you'll be comfortable on your back anyway. This has been my exact experience! I was still back sleeping at 12 weeks and beyond. When I talk to my mum about these things she is like, "How you and your brother ever made it into the world safely then is beyond me!!"
