I am newly pregnant. I took a test and there was a faint line. I started spotting when my regular period was due and then it was like my regular period came. I went to the doctor and my hcg levels were only a 54 i went back next day wasnt even a full 24 hours and they were 63. I went back 4 days later and they had only gone up to 182. They are supposed to double every 48-72 hours. I had a pelvic exam doctor says everything looked good there. Did an ultra sound and nothing came up. I took a clear blue weeks estimator test and it came up 4 to 5 weeks along. what could this mean???? Doctors say i may be still really early ??? anyone else had this happen?

Hi hanner... Sorry to hear that you are having this worry. what is your doctor doing now? Have they got you going back for more bloods to keep a track of your hcg?. im sorry to say that the slow rising hcg is a little bit of a concern. It is still rising,.. Which is a good thing but as you say it is not doubling like it should. I think it's too early to say either way how this pregnancy will end up for you but I think you do need to prepare yourself at least for thevpossibility that it might not work out.
With my second mc the docs were tracking my hcg & it was a similar situation to you but at about 6 weeks... It was rising but not doubling as it should. I had a scan at 8 weeks where things looked fine ..l saw hb & growth was spot on but then i mc'd at 9 1/2 weeks.
i think the best thing you can do now is to just keep in touch with your doctor, hopefully they will continue to monitor you & things will be ok.
good luck! Keep us posted x

Yes I am keeping in touch with my doc and they are doing more blood work. They did a vaginal ultra sound and seen no sac so they are thinking it's still pretty early even though the test says I'm further. They aren't sure what to think of this. She says she don't think it's a miscarry because of my numbers going up.

I also have been having a lot of mucus in my stool. Not sure what to think of this

If its in your stool then prob nothing to really worry about. Pregnancy hormones (progesterone in particular) can play havoc with bm's... Some women get constipated while others get the runs.... So it could just be a bit of that.
glad your doc is leeping a close eye on you.
