I have been with my partner for 6 years, she is now pregnant with our first, due in december. so im thinking its time to pop the question.
I was thinking of doing this in the delivery room after our son has been born, is this a really bad idea? if she is high on gas/really long labour/problems with the birth.
just after some advice please. thanks in advance.

Hi John, I think a plan B might be wise. You don't know how things will go during the delivery and even when things do go well (often) both mums and dads are already elated about the birth. Why wait? Do it now!

I think that you shoud do it either before she goes into labour or after. Like you said, she could have a very traumatic labour or be high on gas ...... My parner said that if she is high on gas she is less likely to say No ha ha
Also, you will both want to focus on your baby

lovely idea but uou will both be so high from emotions of the birth I'd probably wait, why not ask her when your collecting your new family from the hospital?

i agree with the do it now idea. giving birth is a pretty intense experience and even if things are straightforward, its messy and reeeeaaally not glamourous, to put it mildly lol. and yes, you will both be focusing entirely on your new baby. also the first weeks after giving birth can be quite strenuous what with lack of sleep and hormones etc so in my personal opinion (and this in no way means you shoudl follow my advice as you know your partner best) id do it now so she can feel special and sexy and you can enjoy your engagement bliss knowing youll soon have a beautifl baby to complete your happiness. good luck! x
