For those looking for giant knickers to go in hospital bags, Debenhams have 5 packs of full briefs reduced to £2.80 at the moment. I don't think you can beat that on price. Thought it might help someone.
And no, honestly, I haven't just ordered some despite being 8 weeks post birth
Edited to say the 20% offer seems to have ended so they are no longer so bargainous. Now I know why there website crashed around 11pm.

oo can I derail this a bit? Are full briefs the best to go in hospital bags? I really really hate underwear siting high on my waist but obviously don't want something that sits too low and wondered if something like shorts would do the same job... George have some cheapy ones i was tempted to get...

Big pants really are the way to go Jem179. I find with the shorts type that they tend to fit a bit more snuggly and you don't want that really. Trust me, underwear up on your waist will be the least of your worries....hehe!!

I'd go for full briefs personally, you only have to wear them for a couple of weeks if needs be. You are likely to have ginormous maternity pads in and I never find they work too well with shorts style, and of course if you end up with a c-section you are going to wear knickers up to your bra for the foreseeable future.

What size did you get, your normal size or bigger?
15/09/2013 at 20:57
thanks both, I've just always hated anything that actually sits on my waist so was desperately hoping for a middling kind of level! giant pants it is then!!! How many sizes bigger did you go for?

I think i went too sizes up and they were plenty roomy for the giant maternity pads.

I've gone up a couple of sizes and gone for full/high waist in case I end up with another section.

Whatever size I was whilst pregnant and wearing big pants I just got the same.
Big pants are definitely the way to go.

I'm going to through a cat amongst the pigeons, I must be in the minority but I've always continued wearing normal underwear - thongs and shorts while pregnant. Just up a size from about half way through.
And they were fine afterwards as well x

I did when pregnant too but I needed big knickers for after birth as had 2 c-sections.

They were on line but seems it was an offer that ended last night. I was trying to order them around 11pm and their website kept crashing, this morning the offer has gone.
