I am 29 weeks pregnant and was told I had gestational diabetes early in my pregnancy (9weeks). I am so scared going into my third trimester since I am trying to avoid medication. I test in the morning after fasting and 2 hours after every meal 4 times a day. The highest my morning number has ever been is 106 and after meal is 143 but this is not often at all. Is it possible to go through the pregnancy without meds? When should I actually be worried?

I had gd with my 1st and was always diet controlled. He was induced at 39weeks and weighed 8lb 2oz. Try not to worry too much. Take each meal on step at a time and remember your portion control. Your consultant will not let baby too big enough ... you could be induced before that. X

I'm in this boat aswell going for the test Tuesday as he's bigger than He should be but I'm also really annoyed cuse most people I know have had the test done quiet early in pregnancy I'm nearly 32week gone n they r only just testing me for it so going to be really peed off if I've got it, cuse I've been mentioning to my midwife all the way through I've not been feeling great also had a few hospital trips with not feeling great and still didn't have the test done...it sucks
