Firstly, huge thanks to la1510 for posting my BA and being a fab and supportive pp. I really appreciate your continued offer of help and support x
I hope to shortly write up my birth story which I think will help me come to terms with what happened and how so far removed the labour was from my birth plan. It was a long and difficult journey and during several occasions we thought it may end in am emcs but, I am so proud of my boy for fighting on in there and being able to deliver him naturally (albeit with the blessed assistance of an epidural - something I was adamant I didn't want in my birth plan but needed as labour overtook and went on for so long)
So after being admitted to hospital on Wednesday morning at 11.30am, Eli Michael was born on Friday 14th June at 9.36am. Although we hadn't found out the sex both my H and I were convinced that the baby was going to be a girl so we were very shocked to hear he was a boy! Now I can't imagine anything else!
As I lost a large amount of blood, we were kept in for two nights and arrived home to lots of eager and happy family visitors only yesterday afternoon. The first night was tough as we are all getting to know one another and sleep was not a priority for our little man but we are hoping that it will get better! I also never realised how hard it would be to get him to latch on but we have finally got there and my milk is now starting to come in.
Am sure I will be on with 101 needy questions and reassurance but for now, here is a picture of our little man x

He is gorgeous! I had an awful birth with G and it helped me to have a debrief session with a consultant to find out exactly what happened and why. So sorry to hear you had a rough time lovely.
The sleeping and breastfeeding does get better i promise! Xx
