It took me an hour to get A to sleep tonight in her crib and what does the husband do? Turn the big bright light on as he left the room. He didn't even realise, he came and told me that she was stirring so I said he can deal with it and then I saw the light on. So then of course he thinks it's a great idea to get her up and take her out to the living room where the tv is on, lights on etc. I told him to get back in the bedroom as it's bedtime for her, she's tired and needs darkness and peace. So he makes a half arsed attempt at getting her to sleep while messing about on the iPad! I got in the shower as hadnt had one all day, get into bed and he buggers off for his second shower of the day leaving her fussing in the crib, thanks! He's great Dad but bloody useless at things like this.

This sounds just like my H! B is poorly and very grumpy, and h has come over waved at him, and said hello and 5 mins later is back to messing around on his phone, he hasn't even held him or helped me sort out evening feeds etc ready for bed even though I'm trying to do washing, bottles and calm b

They are just blissfully unaware sometimes aren't they. Although my H is now acting all hurt because I rejected his offer of trying to settle her as it's too much stimulation *sigh*. She's still not asleep, keeps nodding of then startling argh!

Yep definitely! I thought my h had helpfully sterilised the bottled just now and was all pleased but then found he had put them in but didn't put it on!
