We have this for O and put him in it for the first time y'day.
He loves it and can get the lights and noise going by spinning the little animal reel thing next to the elephant but I don't think ita actually setting the noise off just by him bouncing, am I wrong in thinking it should do this? I thought as it bounced the noise would go off? It makes noises when he's bouncing but I'm sure it's because he's hit the spinning thing with his hands?

I don't think ours made noise just from jumping, I think you have to push the buttons. Could be wrong though, it was packed away a while ago...

Have spent all afternoon watching S whenever he was in it for you but he was always bouncing and playing with the toys at the same time lol! He only got the hang of bouncing recently though so I think it's the toys that set it off, it's always made noise.

It's really hard to tell because A leaps around all over the place making it impossible to separate sounds and movements but I think that when he does a big bounce it makes an animal sound? The music plays from switching it on but if he spins the wheel it can restart the tunes from the beginning (annoying). The wheel also makes animal noises. But lots of bouncing = elephants and monkeys and lions.

As he bounces harder some of the toys will move which will set the noise off

Ah thanks ladies, I was sure I had read it saying his movements were 'rewarded' by noise and lights so I assumed then that it would be linked somehow to the jumping. That makes sense about the movement moving the toys.
Next question (sorry!) how often do your LO go in it? I saw in the booklet no more than 20mins which is enough for him at this stage anyway but do you put them in it a couple of times a day?

M is a bit wee still so only goes in now and again for 5 mins but the other two went in for as long as they were happy really x

S goes in his a couple of times a day, probably for 15-20 mins each time.

A goes in for as long as he's happy to, we got ours secondhand so no booklet so I never knew this. He let's me know if he's had enough, but he loves it and has been known to bounce for over half an hour without stopping! He goes in once or twice a day.

We love ours! It allows me to make food and eat!
I have no idea what sets off the noise!

Ours make a noise if F touches the play bits. Hes not overly keen on jumping in it as yet so I know that it does it just by touch, :-)
