I'm really enjoying being pregnant even though I've been getting bad morning sickness but I know that some think amazing is coming at the end and it took myself and OH 20 months to get our sticky bean.

Every one knows that were expecting a baby now so we announced it to everyone on facebook the day we had our scan. Yesterday I changed my FB status to something along the lines off is loving being pregnant and my cravings (of cheesey doritos and strawberry milkshake )and how I'm enjoying everything about being pregnant. 10 minute later my cousin (who is pregnant with her 2nd and constantly complains about being pregnant) changed hers to 'some people are %&*$#, how can anyone enjoy being pregnant' OMG was I pee'd off. So I wrote back and said some people try for ages and really want to be pregnant so they do enjoy it rather than be selfish.
Which I thought was fine as I know what she's done both times she's been pregnant (smoking, drinking eating %&*$# hence getting pregnancy diabetes, going on sun beds and the list goes on)
She's always complaining and asking her step mum (my aunty) if she'l be pregnant for her so she can smoke and go out clubbing and drink, which is so insesative as my aunty wants a baby but uncle doesn't. And my step mum can't have children and never could so it annoys me even more just how selfish she is. I try to ignore it but I just can't.

So I deleted her from FB as I just can't deal with how pathetic she is. She then called me and told me that I'm pathetic because i want to start pregnancy yoga and do pilates I hung up to then get a text saying that she couldn't give a f*** if i was pregnant or even alive.

And all this is because I absoloutly LOVE being pregnant and seeing my baby move at our scans and am doing the very best for my unborn child.
    AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

Sorry to any one that had looked through all of this and wasting your time hehe and also thanks for reading it just had to get it out in the open

    Hope you're all doing well
    Also in DID

    xx

    Hi.

First of all can I just say that just because she eats crap does not mean that is the reason that she has gestational diabetes. GD can hit anyone at any stage in pregnancy. I have had it in all 3 of my pregnancies and I hate it when people assume its because I ate crappy food when that is just untrue. GD can happen to the healthiest people and its to do with how your body processes insulin in pregnancy. Of course, if she is still eating junk after being told she has it then only she is responsible for the effect her baby. I haven't touched chocolate in 8 weeks and trust me its horrible  just didn't want people reading what your wrote and assume you only get GD if you eat junk food because that is untrue.

Anyway, onto other points. We have had 3 early losses and August 2009 we got a sticky bean it was amazing but sadly our son passed away at 26 weeks gestation. We then hit fertility issues and needed treatment to have this baby. (currently 25 weeks) It really really gets to me when people think its ok to moan constantly about being pregnant, don't get me wrong, we all have our fair share of moans which you will discover the further along you get. Its when people get pregnant and then want to go out partying. I would love to have a drink with my friends or go to a club but I have a little life growing inside me and that is so much more important.

You are entitled to enjoy your pregnancy and so you should. Its an amazing thing that is happening. I love being pregnant even if it is the most stressful thing us women will ever do. It is all worth it in the end. It is just such a shame that not everyone sees it that way when there are so many couples in this world that would give anything to have a baby.

As for pregnancy yoga, its fab, I did it in my first, didn't get round to it in my 2nd and now have a dislocated hip so wont be doing it on this one. I am however practising hypnobirthing. To be honest (and this is not a reflection on your or your family) she seems a bit chav. I don't think its pathetic that you are enjoying your pregnancy, I think its lovely. Do what you think is right and let her get on with her pregnancy her way, try not to let her bother you xx

Sorry I didn't mean for that to sound the way it sounded about GD. Her MW told her that was the reason for her GD after my cousin told her what she eats and she does still live on big macs just because it's a 2minute walk from where she lives.
Well done on not eating chocolate for 8weeks.

Sorry about your little boy, I don't know how hard that must have been for you. We've had 2 MC's and are so grateful for our little sticky bean. Hence wanting to enjoy it so much.

Yeah I've lots of good things about pregnancy yoga so will deffinatly be giving it ago. Have you already started your hypnobirthing? If so how are you finding it? We would love a homebirth and our MW is really excited about it so think I would love to try hypnobirthing.

Haha, she is really chavy (unlike the rest of my family) I think its the people she goes out with, not really sure.
No I wont I plan on just ignoring her now I don't need the stress any way.

Some people are just born moaners, and maybe shes abit jealous of your happiness, some people just dont like other people to be happy. Im currently moaning alot, due to having cramps which seem to be going now thank god, was exhausted and now morning sickness has hit haha. Im not good with not feeling like myself, but at the same time Im really happy to be pregnant (only 6 wks + 4). I already have a daughter so cant wait to feel the baby kick and move and all. I had my first night out on sat, since finding out I was pregnant and still enjoyed it eventhough I was pregnant. Although I was shocked that there was someone in the club 3 months gone and drunk. I understand MW say that youre allowed 1 or 2 units a week but I dont think they mean to go out and get blitzed . Anyway best of luck and keep enjoying being pregnant xxx

I have to say I think you cousin has behaved badly, she had no right to have a go at you and she has clearly been very insensitive, but please dont tar all pregnant women who arnt enjoying their pregnancy with the same brush. I have found being pregnant very hard and in all honesty I really do wish I could fast forward the pregnant bit and just get to the baby bit! Don't get me wrong, I am in love with my bump, I am so thrilled to be expecting a baby and I cant wait to actually have the baby in my arms. I loved having my scans and I love feeling my little bear move around. But I have found that being pregnant has really affected me. I have struggled with the physical changes - the nausea, mahoosive, painful boobs, being so tired all of the time, not to mention tummy aches and feeling heavy. I have also struggled with people treating me differently (like my mum not allowing me to even load her dishwasher) and also people commenting on my size/weight/the food I eat all of the time. Emotionally, I have struggled because I have spent most of my pregnancy terrified that something might happen. More recently, my hormones are playing tricks on me and I have started to feel very insecure and worry that hubby might not fancy me anymore, which is INSANE because he is so loving and thrilled about the baby. (Talking to other pregnant women this seems to be very common) I have done everything I possibly can to ensure that this baby gets the very best start, including eating the right things, not drinking alcohol or caffine and avoiding all of the 'wrong things' and I really dont mind because Im doing it for my baby, but, it has been hard and I think sometimes it is okay for people to say that they are struggling. I personally feel that there is a lot of pressure in the media to be this perfect pregnant person who blooms and glows, but for some people (including me) it just isnt like that.
Anyway, I hope your cowbag of a cousin realises how lucky she is soon, because as much as I have found all of this hard, it is a blessing xx

Honestly, its fine hun, just didn't want people thinking we all eat crap and then get GD, I did everything to avoid it this time and it still bit me on the butt

We really wanted a home birth but due to having to be induced it was ruled out along with a water birth. I had been reading about it from about 16 weeks and finally got round to downloading some stuff this week onto my mp3 player (i feel so old saying mp3 player, everyone has ipods these days  )I have found it really good so far but I assume the real test will be when we are in labour. Let me know if you want the link for the tracks, I plan to buy a CD to take to hospital but wanted to try before I buy sort of thing xx

Haha Angelmama I think the only time I haven't heard her moan is when she has some kind of acoholic beverage in her hand or a fag in her mouth. I've also been getting really bad morning sickness and cramps that scared me so much we had to have an early scan but everything was fine and amazing to see baba moving. Also I think/hope that my morning sickness has calmed down ALOT so think it's on it's way out the door haha.

Glitterbug, I must admit I do have the occasional moan when my morning sickness is really bad and I can't keep any thing down but only to OH not all over FB wanting sympathy. Sorry about the way you've been feeeling hun, I kept having to ask OH if he still finds me attractive a few times to which he replies that I'm being silly he'll all ways find me attractive and love me. If she does ever realise how lucky she is I wont know about it I can't handle her any more so don't plan on seeing her any time soon.

Torch, OOO a link would be fab, thanks. Yeah I don't blame you for not wanting to buy a CD just yet. Hope it is super handy when your in labour though.

To download just clink the link on the left. It does take a while as there are 3 tracks that are about 30 minutes each xx

I have to agree with Glitterbug. Pregnancy and me do not get on. With DD I just didn't enjoy it, this time I've had really bad morning sickness, a few weeks where I did actually enjoy the whole pregnancy thing before I started having the pelvic problems which have stopped me from walking virtually anywhere (just to give you an idea, i don't drive, hubby is currently unable to due to medication and we don't have a car anyway. I walk everywhere!)

I do however appreciate how lucky I am to be having this baby and to have a little girl already. If you're enjoying your pregnancy then fair play and don't let anyone tell you that you can't. Different things suit different people and just because your cousin doesn't enjoy it doesn't mean that you can't.
