Very dull but PIL have us the sanctuary cotbed from mothercare (140x70). They've now asked us what mattress we want.....foam/spring etc. I've had a look but there's so many and the prices vary so much. What do people think? What type of mattress do you recommend? Tia

Spring lasts a lot longer and is better quality. Foam should be replaced yearly.

For a cot bed I'd go for spring as they're likely to use it for 3-4 years.
I went for spring even though we have a cot, rather than for bed but we used it from day 1 so has had almost 2 years of use already, I'm hoping to get another 6 months or so from it yet. I think it was only £50 from Kiddicare.

Can't actually recommend yet, but I'm looking at this one (as I have a Debs voucher to use): www.debenhamsplus.com/.../version.asp
I would go for spring over foam.
