My BILmhas kindly lent us an iPad for our holiday this weekend to make the journey and evening meal times easier for us all. I'm currently loading it up with appa and after the Charley Bear one and some nursery rhyme ones I have on my phone I'm a bit stuck for ideas. I've downloaded a load of his favourite cBeebies programmes onto the iPlayer.
Any app recs?

We have a matching game called animatch (icon is a frogs face) - C loves it, though not necessarily the whole matching element of it, she prefers just to listen to the animal sounds! We have a few nursery rhyme ones too, though I only bought the free versions which have loads of stuff 'locked', so I wouldn't necessarily recommend them.
Where are you going?

Ah, that's one of the games mum has on her iPad for the kids, so I know he'll like that. Thanks.
We're off to Spain to visit FIL and his wife, our budget holiday option!

Download his favourite cbeebies programmes on i player. You can watch them up to 30 days without wifi needed. C really enjoys an old McDonalds Farm app he has

O's got a Mr Potato Head app that he loves as well as My Coloring Book Free. There's some Fisher Price ones that he likes too. All the apps he uses are free, just turn off any in-app purchases!

Thomas tank engine activities? It has jigsaw puzzles and matching pairs and colouring. It's free, but you pay for extra jigsaws etc. my boy was 2 yesterday and he can do the jigsaws and matching pairs.
Also I love the seek and find apps. Again, the free ones. They are cute and provide a good talking point about the things going on in the pictures.

Ooh, he loves his potato head toy so the app should be a winner for him.
Will look at the Thomas one too, thanks.

Don't be the weather isn't looking too great, wish we'd just paid the extra £100 to go in June (going this week as it's before Alex turns 2) and have better weather and a seat on the plane for him. Oh well, always next year to find some sun.
