We have found out that k can hear sounds at 70db and above in her right ear, and only 90db and above in her left ear. The consultant said that some noisy toys are at 70db or above, so what noisy toys do you have that your child loves? She's only 16 weeks and will have a delay in moving etc as she's blind too so they need to be from birth or 3 months and simple for her to use.
Thank you in advance!

We have the vtech walker which A loves, now I know you won't be using it for that but the front comes off and does all kinds of musical things when you press the buttons. Maybe she could lie on her front and press the buttons? It has two volume settings and the loud one is quite loud! It's quite popular in the secondhand market, seen it being sold for £5-10.

We got one of these off eBay quite cheaply - VTech Light-Up Rhyme Gym
amazon.co.uk/.../B0009HBOHW and its really loud on the louder setting. It doesn't take much to set it off and it goes on for a while. Not sure if you'll thank me for that after hearing it for the millionth time!

Glad to hear this bit of an update bunny. Do you have a h&m near you? They have loads of baby toys at the minute which you could try out before buying!

Thank you for that. Yes I think we're going to have to be the annoying people that go up the shop aisles pressing all the buttons! She's doing well, we've had the hearing checked, she's opening her left eye slightly although her eye won't be able to see normally. We are still dipping her dummy in milk, hopefully when we see the speech+language therapist in 4 weeks she will let us try with a bottle. Her ears are mechanically fine, it's her brain that isn't interpreting the signals properly so not sure what might pop up in the future. She is stable at the mo, so just hoping she gets to have Christmas.

We have a vtech pop up and sing worm/apple thing which is quite loud and noisy. Otherwise we have a soft ladybird which vibrates and plays yankee doodle when you bash it, its from ELC i think. Also have a plastic dog thingy that is also from ELC i think which plays diff songs when you press its nose.
Glad to hear K is doing well :)

We've got a wiggle giggle bird which is noisy. It came from ELC but I think has been replaced by the ladybird that Nemas described,
I'm so pleased that K is doing well xx
