So we're keeping Isobelle's nursery more or less as it is for the new baby & changing the spare room into Isobelle's big girl room. So much choice for wardrobes & chest of drawers but all very pricey. Can anyone share any bargains they've found? Someone locally is selling a wardrobe with 2 drawers at the bottom with matching small set of drawers for £20 which seemed like a bargain but she has finally sent me the dimensions & the wardrobe is only 51 inches tall which (in comparison to the wardrobe in her nursery which is 71 inches) that seems quite small. I've been googling nursery wardrobes & it really does seem on the small side. Sorry, bit of a brain dump but trying to work out if it's worth buying it to save a bit of money or continuing to look.
Also, I'm still waiting for my kiddicare vouchers to come through & was wondering how much you can save with them

Got ours from Ikea. They did an adult range which had matching nursery furniture so we bought a mixture of what would fit the room.

O doesn't have nursery/children's furniture in his big boy room...has has a pine and blue triple wardrobe with drawers at the bottom and matching chest. We went for the wardrobe as one of the doors has shelves behind so it's ideal for storing books/toys as well as clothing. I'd personally say don't limit yourself to kids furniture as then you'll have something that'll grow with I..you'll get better value for money that way too. I second ikea x

We got an Ikea adult wardrobe and Expedit unit with storage boxes for our nursery. The children's furniture seemed a lot more money for something that is essentially smaller!

Another one with ikea furniture. In terms of storage and usability I do t think you can beat them.

Thanks everyone. We put our house new just before Isobelle was born & I think around half of our furniture is from Ikea so I'm not sure why I hadn't thought of that!! Better get saving now (although maybe we can persuade the inlaws to pay for some of it as they paid for some of the nursery furniture so might be worth an ask!!
