We have decided that our Silver Cross pushchair is going to be far too big to take away on our hols in July when monkey bum will be 5 months old so can you recommend a space saving, light weight and cheap stroller? Not asking for much huh
Thank you peeps.

Maclaren Quest. Lightweight, reclines flat so suitable from birth and easy to fold. Can be carried using the shoulder strap when folded. Seat extends so their legs don't flop down when they're little.
We bought it to take on holiday.

I always recommend the same one on these threads - the Petite Star Zia+ from www.nurseryvalue.com/.../default.aspx
They have reworked ones, which the two that I have had (one lost on flight home from holiday) were almost like new! They also recline flat which is very useful for a 5 month old, light weight, and don't take up much room when folded up.

I'd say Maclaren too. Not cheap but you might get one second hand. We have a Mothercare Urbanite that we use for travelling and that's similar to the Maclaren but cheaper.

Petite Star Zia +. We got one when J was 3 months old, for our numerous trips on the train to Brum. I loved it so much, it became our main pushchair. (H was a bit pi$$ed off at the barely used £600 pram that was now redundant, whoops)
J is now almost 22 months, and we're still using it.

when we went to Centre Parcs I did some informal buggy observations and concluded lots of people go for Macarlens or that style.

I would recommend the Baby Jogger City Mini. I didn't like the Maclaren as I don't like the 2 seperate handles as find it harder to push one handed, which once you get in to toddler days can become quite essential. I love the way the BJ folds as well, the Maclaren took up too much of our boot as it is long and thin so had to go in diagonally, BJ is flat so just sits in the bottom of the boot.
