Anyone else suffer from restless legs? I find I just can't sit still! when I wake frequently during the night because of it - it's definitely a leg thing rather than a general comfort thing if you see what I mean. I have to get up and walk around before going back to bed and hoping to fall asleep quickly before they start again!

Yep! I hear ya!
Tonic water helps a bit but mostly I just spend hours in the bath! If it's any condolence it goes immediately after the baby's born as I had them with Isaac so I'm living in hope the same will happen this time x

I suffered horrendously during my first pregnancy, about 28/30 weeks. Then I found out after my 28 week appointment that I needed iron tablets and the restless legs went away!

I suffered bad too. It was always worse on days where I hadn't done any walking really. Have a walk each day. I also found that some of my pregnancy yogo poses helped. Especially "the tree posture" I quite often did it in the bathroom at 3am.
Also get someone to rub or massage your legs before bed x

I suffer from restless legs all the bloomin' time, not just when pregnant :( My mum, aunt, nan, great-aunt all suffer too so I'm thinking it's a family thing. Someone once told me that it can be a slight magnesium deficiency but I'm not sure. I started taking baths in Epsom Salts which helps loads but I'm not sure it's recommended during pregnancy. Oily fish, dark leafy greens and nuts/seeds can all boost magnesium but apart from that, I agree with LP that yoga helps the most and its definitely worse when I'm less active.
HTH, you have my complete sympathies, it's a right pain!
