What age should you start worrying about not rolling?
F is 5 months this week and has rolled from back to front a few times and will roll onto his side to cuddle up but he doesn'to seem to be that interested in it. He doesn't really like tummy time so we do just a little and because of his reflux he hasn't spent a lot of time lying flat on his back and now I am worried it has hampered his development.
He can sit up unaided for a good few minutes at a time and is eager to get going, will lunge towards stuff and will step if you hold him up but I don't know how important rolling is!?
God, there is always something to worry about isn't there!

Don't worry - M sat up about 4 months but didn't roll till 8/9 months just as she got the hang of crawling!

J rolled super early, and was a confident and speedy roller by 4 months. He didn't sit confidently till nearly 8 months, and walked at 12 months. My friend's LO, who's the same age never really rolled, sat at 5 months, and walked at the same age as J. They're all different, I really wouldn't worry as he sounds like he's developing fine.

I wouldn't worry. A could roll from about 4 months but only did, accidentally, on a couple of occasions. She's 7 months this week and has only really been rolling with intent and control for about 2 weeks.

H didn't roll for ages after he did it for the first couple if times and hated tummy time but then one day he just got it and rolled across the room repeatedly before crawling. I wouldn't worry, they all get it in their own time

Thanks everyone! Looks like I should appreciate the fact that he isn't on the move yet rather than worrying. I'm sure it will take me by surprise some day, they really do pick things up all of a sudden!

Mine were me we really rollers. Both sat unaided about 5 months. L crawled at 8 months and walked at 13. A never crawled, bum shuffled from about 10 months and walked at 15 months.
They really are all different and I would t worry.

I wouldn't worry, O was 6 months when he first rolled and sat up at 6.5 months. On the other hand, L didn't start rolling till she was nearly 7 months, and began sitting at nearly 8 months. They'll do it at their own pace x

W will be 5 months next week and can get onto his tummy no bother but struggles to get back again. He tries really hard to crawl when on his tummy. I just wish he'd learn to roll back again. Would save him a lot of distress. He is also getting there with his sitting up, but can't do it unaided as such. A couple more weeks and he'll be there! He gets too distracted by the colours on his mat.
I wouldn't worry though. They all get there at their own pace! Speak to your health visitor if you're at all concerned too!

I wouldn't worry as he's doing other things. If he can sit etc my personal opinion is he probably could do it if he wanted to. My E rolled very early but it's become apparent rolling and mobility are her absolute main focuses. However my friends son was closer to 7 months, but is a lot more aware of sounds, music etc than E as seems to focus his attention there. They all make their motives clear soon enough I think!
