Is everyone having this now? S had his 8 week jabs today and had this orally. I don't think his brother had it and then someone on FB tonight posted about there being an outbreak.
It's a live vaccine apparently which is a bit of a pain as dad is having chemo but nurse said its fine as long as he doesn't change his nappies which isn't going to happen anyway! Also can't swim for a fortnight

Someone posted something on fb. Iv never heard of it, what is it? Henry hasn't had any oral meds, does that mean he hasn't?

I don't know about the vaccine except that its only just been introduced from 1 June I think for first vaccines so babies who has their first jabs before this date won't get it. Same as phasing out of 3rd meningitis jsb

M had this today as well.. It's being offered to all babies born after 1 May 2013. I vaguely remember it being on the news when first introduced. O had rotavirus at 10 months and was hospitalised and put on a drip for 4 days - it was not nice at all.

Florrie had this - it was the first day they'd started using it at my practice. We didn't have any issues and they didn't mention side effects. Another one at 12 week jabs spparently

My leaflet said it not a live vaccine as I wasn't keen if it was live. You want a copy of the leaflet? It's only for babies born from 1 May this year x

Ah so very new. I'm ok with it being a live vaccine as would so anything to not have a baby in hospital again! Wonder if there are different actual vaccines. I'll have a look through the leaflet later
Missus S- it's a particularly nasty d&v virus

I heard there has been an outbreak in my County - hence vaccine. Didn't realise it was a Nationwide thing. I used to work in Public Health so would normally hear about things like this at the early stages.
