posted this earlier but realised my title didn't reflect what I wanted to know!
Im off for my first scan tomorrow, paying private because my nhs one isn't for a while. I'm 10 weeks today based on my lmp and I've just realised that they're probably going to but my dates back because I obviously was pregnant immediately after my af...gutted I'm gonna be back in single figures again!!!
I was wonder how many of you had your gestation changed and by how much???
Just can't remember with my others the dates being changed but I think before i didn't even work out dates I just waited for scan xx

I went by when I ovulated as I had all the signs when I did, I was out by 4 days so when I had my 12 week scan I was 11 weeks and 3 days.
Every scan after that said due Nov 8th. I go for my 20 week scan and they tell me I'm 6 days behind and changed due date to November 14th because of size of baby.
Your due date may change due to how fast or slow the baby grows
But remember it's fine to be two weeks out either way because of lmp
Good luck with scan x

Thank you for the response. All my babies have been overdue so due dates mean nothing to me. I'm just dreading going 10+1 and them saying I'm 8 weeks! 😜

It could go the other way! I went for an early scan thinking I was 7 weeks based on lmp. Turned out I was a week plus further on. Still don't know how, guess I must've just ovulated super early. My 12 week scan confirmed this as I was 14 weeks when I had it 😃

Now that would be fantastic Sunny5! paying for scan to hopefully tell my kids before Christmas so if I stick @ 10 weeks I'll be telling them but if I do get put way back I won't be 😏

When are you having your scan? And lovely idea to tell your other children at Christmas. How old are they?

Oo lovely 😄!! How fantastic. And like you, I've got big gap between children. Almost 19, 15 years and newest one is just 18 days. What do you think your big ones will say/think of having a new addition? ☺ x

I told them as soon as we got back...literally couldn't wait the excitement and nerves were overwhelming. Youngest was bursting with excitement, oldest was pleased but quieter u could tell he was processing a million different thoughts. He mentioned to his girlfriend about needing to move out coz of space and I was like no!!!!!! We'll build an extension. How has ur oldest been about the new baby? X

Ah that's lovely. Both of mine had mixed feelings (and still do!) my eldest, a boy was really against it initially as he was worried about the increased workload and stress for us. Also think he was worried about the change in family dynamic. He went off to work in usa for summer and came back a bit more in favour. Then since Elliotts arrival he's been alot more comfortable with things, although I think once Elliott is past the newborn stage both big children will be able to get involved more..
Like you we have lack of space but we'll cross that bridge once Elliott needs his own room xxx
