just wondered if anyone could share any positive stories (to put my mind at ease a little)
Basically I had a scan yesterday at the EPU (due to difference in dates, pain in right side and spotting) anyway she couldn't see anything through normal scan so I had a transvaginal one done... The sonography asked me to make 2 fists and place them under my bottom (which I wasn't sure as to why) but she then went on to say 'by this scan you are 6 weeks but no fetal pole or heartbeat can be seen yet) just the GS and the YS... They've rebooked me in for 10 days time.... Should I be concerned as I've driven myself mad by checking information and the measurements online which lead to the information that at 6 weeks a heartbeat may not be detected but a fetal pole should definitely be picked up by this time ... I just feel 10 days is forever away (although I know it's best to wait that long as 10 days can make a huge difference) I'm just very confused and feel like I don't know wether to be happy or really not get my hopes up..
Any my of your experiences, advice and support would be very much appreciated right now.. Thanks ladies xxx

Foetal heartbeat is usually from 8 weeks. I had scans at 5 wks and they rebooked me for 8 wks so that they could check the heartbeat. Hope this helps x

Sounds quite normal. I had the same happen to me. My dates put me at 7 weeks and a sac was seen put no fetal pole. 1 week later a fetal pole was seen and June 14 my little boy arrived.
Ps the fists under bum is to raise and tilt your womb to help sonographer to get a clear view of all of it in case baby is hiding (I'm nosey so asked why it was needed)

I feel so much better now you've said that its just very stressful not knowing really and with my little boy (who's 7 now) I didn't found out it until I was 6 weeks so all went very fast..
thank you again x

I would like to share my latest experience with all of you not to give up hope... Trust Lord and everything will be alright... I went for my first trans v scan at 6 weeks and 6 days.. but the doc could find only gest sac and nothing else and suggested a follow up scan one week later. We did the scan yesterday (suppossed to be at 8 weeks), and found out a healthy fetus with good heartbeat as 6.4 weeks!!!!
SO ALL THE BEST WISHES FOR ALL THE LADIES WHO ARE WAITING FOR GOOD NEWS.. TRUST THE DEVINE SPIRIT AND TAKE REST!!!
