I am currently 12 weeks pregnant. I went to the loo earlier today and discovered a large amount of blood both in the loo and on the tissue paper. I went straight to the doctor and have a scan booked for tomorrow morning.
I have been taking it easy all day and haven't had any more bleeding since.
The reason for my fear is that I had exactly the same situation (on exactly the same date) 2 years ago which resulted in miscarriage.
This time we had ivf to help us get pregnant. W had an 8 week scan and the baby had a strong heart beat so Im desperately trying to hold on to the fact that 4 weeks ago the baby was fine ....as I just kidding myself ?
I don't have severe pain, my boobs are tender but not unbearable and I feel a bit sick although this may be down to worry ....
whats your thoughts ?

Hello hon, I don't know what's happening with you, but i didn't want to read and run, and just say i'm so sorry you're going through this. Hang in there and please let us know how you get on with your scan tomorrow x

just back from early pregnancy unit ....I have a happy, healthy baby with a strong heartbeat. I cant tell you how relieved I am.
There is no identifiable reason for what happened yesterday - it has been put down to 'one of those things' which is a little unsettling but never the less, the result I desperately wanted

Aww Peapod, that's great news! Can imagine it's hard for you to totally relax but must be a small relief for you! Hopefully you won't have anymore reasons to worry!! Xx

Hi Peapod, I'm glad you had a good result. I think sometimes bleeding happens for no apparent reason, sometimes even a breakthrough bleed. I'm glad there was a strong heartbeat and its good you've got lots of symptoms. Hope you have a trouble free pregnancy from now on.
