Am out at bluewater, need advice!
coco had a little claw grip in her hair (one if the little ones) - we got out the car 10 mins ago, she had it in. Have just checked her and the clip is gone, she has one of the little grips in her mouth. I can't find the rest of the clip. She might have dropped it but she might have swallowed it.
Nhs direct or do I just go to a&e? She seems ok in herself (apart from being a bit annoyed she's in the buggy, lol) and doesn't seem to be having trouble breathing but the little claw bits might be sharp.....!

I guess if you really think she could have swallowed it then you should probably head to a&e/urgent care

Have you asked her? What does she say?
Eek i would ring nhs direct first as she is not choking bbut they may say she needs an xray just in case. If u do go have you got anothwr one to take so they know exactly what it is?

Is she coughing/showing any sign if distress? A&e would only xr if clear history that its been swallowed, ie you witnessed it or she's showing signs it's been swallowed (mouth trauma, drooling lots, coughing, distress)
Phone nhs direct if you are concerned x

OMG I must be a terrible parent. Unless she was showing distress or trouble breathing I'd carry on as normal keeping an eye on her.

I agree with Belle. I would just assume she'd chucked the clip unless she was showing any signs of swallowing it.

Thanks all. I'm a bit of a drama queen, but then you knew that right?
Called 111, who said go to a&e in next 12hrs. I asked if I should give her something to eat/drink, and they said prob not until she gets checked out. So took her to a&e where they checked her over - no signs of any clip being stuck anywhere, she wasnt in any distress but to take her back if she started vomiting.
Feel a bit silly now, think I thought the metal spring or little claws would damage her insides.
Anyway the monkey is now asleep, she seems fine, I am feeling a bit embarrassed for overreacting though

I rushed G to A&E when she fell off the sofa at 8 months and they all looked at me like i was nuts! Better safe than sorry though right??

Don't be embarrassed bw. Although I do want to head butt the people at 111, ffs! But that's due to a long list of annoyances with them. Wtf 'take her to a&e in the next 12 hours (you either take her or you don't what's with the time limit),
Tbh I'd just keep an eye in her nappies and see if it makes an appearance in a few days but if not then just assume she's thrown it somewhere

Don't be silly, a lot of people would have worried, especially as she was eating part of it at the time!
