Nothing like a nice name thread on a Tuesday!!
I know its WAY too early for me to think about names but actually i find it helps me to stay positive and if something is going to go wrong then it's going to go wrong, not because i've talked about names.
So share with me 1. your current favourites and 2. good sibling names for Poppy
My front runners at the moment are;
girl - Jemima and Ivy
boy - Arthur and Theo
Interestingly none of the above were on the list when i was pregnant with P. I've always loved Jemima but H vetoed it last time, apparently he likes it now!!

I have no idea. Not even thinking about names until i know the sex lol

Doesn't have to be names for the baby CK, just names you like at the moment!
Not even pg, but I've known what names I want for #2 for ages - they were on the list for C:
Girl - Phoebe
Boy - Cole or Lucas (my favourite is Cole, but not sure about another C name)
I guess when it comes to it, I'll have to discuss them with MrDD

Actually I can do boys' names...
My two favourites are Nathaniel and Reuben (as well as Alexanders, obvs). All are ok with Poppy I think.

Girl - Maisie and Isabella
Boy - Archie - Ralph - Albert
We didnt know the flavour at the time but when our little man popped into the world we took one look at him and knew he was an Albert x

My faves at the mo (ggrrr for whittling it to 2!) are: Cecily and Evelyn. And Edwin and Nathaniel
With Poppy.... I'm not hot on too many names ending in a 'y' (which is a problem because I love them and have a Harry), and Jemima makes me think of Playschool (because I am old).

My frontrunners (if H had no objections) are:
Boys: Stanley or Alex
Girls: Bella or Iris
I'd say all your current favourites work with Poppy, I personally would steer away from Ivy as I wouldn't go for two "plant" type names but that is my personal preference

I absolutely love Harry and Teddy ( my boys names) but wished my husband had agreed on Albert to be known as Bertie. That was my front runner when pregnant with Teddy. Hey ho..... My sister has a Matilda Poppy and we love it so maybe Matilda for a girl sibling?

Ah I think this is going to be a nightmare for us - we'll be fine if the baby's a boy but have very different tastes in girls names!
Boys Dexter or Lucas, H really likes Raif too
Girls - I like Aria and Romy but H has vetoed them both! Although he hasn't come up with any suggestions - a list of names is on his to do list for while he's away - 4 months is plenty of time to think!

Our current shortlist....
I really like jemima. Its so difficult to find names that we both agree on.

And just to add my absolute favourite girls name, Daisy but MrDD vetoed it very early on

My favourites are all quite unusual lol. For boys Quade, Miller and Cooper and for girls Clementine and Mila.
I have two friends with twins where one is Poppy, the others are Tansy (love this!) and Lily.

Oh BG, still no closer to sorting a name?

Some goodchoices ladies!
I can't decide if i mind the 2 flower thing or not...i don't think i do. I LOVE Lily, despite it being popular but it sounds stupid with our surname. I really like Bella but P's middle name is Isabella so can't really use that. We struggles loads with girls before, boys are soooooooooooo much easier!!

Nope. I've tried not to even think about it for the last week. Today is H's birthday, I just got him the bag and shorts he asked for, and didn't surprise him with naming rights over our daughter.

Our favourites for a boy were Sawyer or Chase
For a girl Lily or Blossom.
We already have a Willow and we're having another girl so its currently looking likely we will end up with two plant/ flower type names. It's one of the things that's making me a bit unsure at the moment

our names are Leila or Ivy for Twinklet (as we've been told its a girl.
and if it happens to come out a boy it will be Harry.
06/08/2013 at 12:57
Boys name I like - Dexter, Theo, Otis
Girls names (not including the one we will be using) Stevie Rose, Summer, Seren. Can't use any of these as they don't go with our surname
06/08/2013 at 12:58
Girl - Darcey and Brodey
Boy - Brodey and Corey
