Had my consultant appointment today, due to previous cervical procedures I may have a shortened cervix, which means I may not be able to carry our baby to full term.
I have a scan tomorrow but they won't be able to see what they want to see until 16weeks, when I go back for another scan.
Has anyone experienced this? Thanks

No advice I am afraid but didn't want to read and run. Good that they have picked up on it early so that you can be regularly monitored. Hopefully someone with some experience will be along soon

I was under a consultant sa i had had a large loop excision. They offered me a scan at 16 weeks but said they weren't really concerned so i didn't have it. As far as i know if they thyou have the scan and they find a shortened cervix then they would put a stitch in to prevent early labour.

Thanks :) I had a loop excision also. Sounds like there's not too much to worry about, I suppose they have to tell you the worse case scenario x
