So I have been taking advantage of the sunshine and my new washing machine washing giving my stash it's first wash in preparation.. I have washed all my ll two parts but now have my more colourful all in ones..
Do I need to wash the inserts separately to avoid colour running? Or don't they run? Any experience? Some of them are eBay cheapies

Generally they don't run. I think TotsBots advise the red easyfit is washed separately if you've got one of those. Maybe if you've got anything else bright red, otherwise I won't worry.

I have been using a Colour Catcher with my nappies (they are all-in-ones, no inserts). I've got red, blue, green, white and black nappies. The first few times, the CC came out really heavily stained, but now they've all been through the wash a good number of times, the amount of dye on the CC is getting a lot less and I'll probably stop bothering soon. I have to say, one time I forgot and the white nappies are a bit grey now, but it's not a big deal to me.

Easy fits red say wash with similar colours for 3 washes, but iv never had any colour issues with any. Maybe to be safe I'd wash the first wash, colours together, whites separate. I bung em all in together now

Well I'm watching them go round now and all seems to be ok! So far so good.. Thanks ladies x

I've always washed them all together with no problems. The inserts will stain/grey over time anyway, but they're inserts and won't be on show so don't worry. White nappies will never stay true white and I know some people won't even bother with white for that reason.
