I realise this might be a silly question, but should i wash all new bedding before i use it in baby's crib/basket? i wash my own new bedding to get rid of the starchy feel, but wasn't sure if its adviseable to do so before with baby more so?
I also wondered what washing powder/ liquid do you use on baby stuff?

I washed everything for baby #1 in non-bio with sensitive fabric conditioner before he was born. Poor #2 got only second hand stuff washed and that was in bio! I would wash stuff in whatever you usually use, unless there is a family history of sensitive skin.

H has sensitive skin, but the stuff we use doesn't aggravate his skin. Should I wash the new bedding before use too, or does it not matter?

I'd do bedding too, can't hurt.

We have comfort pure in the house that we used before because it was on special, but then bought fancy smelling lenor and still have half a bottle of the comfort that i'm using to wash all the 2nd hand stuff with.

I washed everything before #1 was born with Fairy Non Bio and Comfort Pure.
With #2 I didn't wash anything before it was worn/used!
Still use Fairy Non Bio and Comfort Pure

Yes the same as you would baby clothes. Iirc they are treated with something to prevent mould in shipping or something along those lines.
