At O's six week check I told the Gp that O wasn't smiling yet. She seemed converged and asked that I chase it up with the HV in two weeks. What's the relevance of smiling by 6 weeks? I know they are looking for social smiling... We just have windy ones in this house xx

I don't think Isaac was smiling by 6 weeks, I can't totally remember. He was a grump though. The Hv never asked me about smiling it was always is he focusing on objects does he respond to your voice etc x
C wasn't smiling at her 6wk check, GP didn't seem bothered. She only started smiling properly and regularly around 8ish weeks and she's as bright as a button. I'm not sure if its an indicator of anything else though.

Just a thought Munchkin but could it be related to the reflux issues? I bumped into an old friend in hospital so our girls are exactly the same age. P was smiling at 5 weeks but her daughter didnt smile till 8 weeks and they put it down to her being so misersble with reflux as she was always in pain. Could be a bit of leverage to kick the GP's butt over this reflux situation.. ...x
