I read that hormones affecting skin growth can mean additional skin tags. I had about 6 under my arms in total, before this pregnancy, and must have 30 brown freckles or tags under each armpit now.
Has anyone had treatment under arms for this type of thing? Is it simple? Expensive? Painful? Thanks for any info :)

Not sure, I have one on my neck that I've had for ages and at the start of pregnancy it got bigger and looks really unattractive now. I mentioned it at a drs appointment and he said it's harmless and they have someone who does regular sessions at the surgery to remove them but she wouldn't do it until after the baby. Can't wait to get rid of it in a few weeks! Maybe check your doctors? My old surgery told me if I wanted it removed I had to go privately to sort it out so it does seem to vary by area.

Thanks Flossy, I'll ask. I definitely didn't think of asking GP. I've a few other little ones in other places, but the armpits are just.. bleurgh!

I only asked because mine is so visible and starting to dry out now, not very attractive!

I have gajillions, they're a side effect of PCOS anyway, and pregnancy hasn't helped. I've had a coupe of the larger ones frozen off, hurts like hell!

I had loads come up during pregnancy that I thought I was going to have to have removed but they disappeared on their own after I'd had the girls. The midwife said they were just due to changes in hormones. Hopefully yours will do the same x
