Hi, I'm pregnant with my 3rd child and I'm roughly 8 weeks and 6 days pregnant. My 2 year old son came out with a bright red blotchy rash across his face a couple of days ago and the doctor said it is Slapped Cheek/Parvovirus. After reading up about it I was of course quite worried.
I saw my midwife for my booking appointment yesterday and she gave me a blood test to check my immunity to the virus, I am due to see her again next Tuesday and she said she hopes the results will be back by then. I was just wondering from other peoples experience how long it took to get the results back? I spoke to a doctor yesterday as well who said between 50-60% of adults are already immune to it. In the past 5 years I have had to had the MMR vaccine 3 times as my blood tests have come back that I did not build up immunity to it. I am just worried that even if I did catch Slapped Cheek as a child (which I am not sure if I did) that maybe I wont have an immunity to the virus like the MMR vaccine.
Thank you for any replies :)
