i wondered if anyone can give me some hope that this stage J seems to be going through at the moment will come to an end at some point! He has NEVER slept through the night since he's been born but we used to get 4 hour uninterrupted blocks of sleep and he would go down to bed around 6.30-7pm and only wake for feeds and be awake at 6am. He is now 18 weeks and the last week has been horrendous. He had a cough and cold a couple of weeks ago which kept him awake at night, we were up almost every hour trying to settle him. He's much better since but for the past week now we have been up every hour or two as he's stirring in his sleep. He's not always hungry but wants his dummy to settle him back off to sleep or a cuddle.
ive read a lot about the 4 month sleep regression, could it be this? Just hope it's a short stage as getting out of bed ecery hour to settle him and the wide awake at 6am is beginning to tire me out!
any advice/experiences would be most grateful! X

M went through the same thing. At 17 weeks (I think) she stopped sleeping in 3/4 hour blocks and started waking every hour and would only settle on the boob. This carried on until 23 weeks, she started going 2 hours and at 25 weeks she went in her own room. She woke 3 times a night, then 2 and by 9 months was sleeping through x
