so i have heard people buying stuff during the first trimester is bad luck...
some think it is fine so what are some thoughts on this is really better to wait are can you just start buying the main things obv you dont know if it is girl or boy but stuff like cot pram neutral cloths and also breast pads and pumps and such
what do you think?

I think the bad luck thing is the same as anything else... just depends on if you're superstitious. What I would say is that the chances of something going wrong in the first trimester are significantly higher than the other trimesters so that's why most people wait to buy stuff.
Personally I think big stuff is a massive no-no until at least after the 12 week scan (and even then probably after the 20 week for me personally), but little bits like toiletries or odd bits of neutral clothes are ok. However you have to think about if it would upset you to see those things if something did go wrong?
Also until the 12 week scan (unless you have an early scan) you could be having multiples so buying a pram etc would be a waste.
At the end of the day it's all about personal preference though. You won't be arrested by the pregnancy police for just doing what you want to do :)

absolutely a personal choice but personally always after 20 week scan in the event there is a serious problem and plus your mind is far more at ease that baby is safe and well at that stage and chances of anything going wrong are significantly reduced.
