Today I had the same pains as I mentioned here last Monday, right across the top of my bump. They have run tests and my BP is high as is my liver function.
To add to this I'm having tightenings every 10 mins, so need to be monitored for that.
What a PITA. reenact baby to be fine of course, by my god ill be relieved once this pregnancy is over.
Was it Morph who was having regular tightenings too??

Oh I'm sorry to hear that munchkin but pleased they're keeping an eye on you. Have they given you steroids today? I hope everything settles down and you manage another few weeks!

Oh dear, what a pain in the bum. Still, you are in the best place for you and baby, hope it turns out to be nothing and your are home soon. Morph has been having lots of regular tightenings but they've come to nothing yet.

No no talk of steroids yet, they are doing ctg every 4 hours. As they aren't painful yet they aren't too worried, but the regularity is ramping up and they are getting more uncomfortable. Hmmmmm early baby or false alarm...place your bets!

Oh no munchkin! Yes it was me. I had steroids at 35+ something so be prepared for 2 shots of those. Liver function could be cholestasis but that can be controlled with drugs up to about 39 weeks.
As for the tightenings, well I've had 2 weeks of them now, every day, varying between 3 mins apart to 10 mins apart. As I'm not dilating they're nt doing anything. They are bloody tiring though. Have they examined you yet? I can't remember how far along you are but pre 36 weeks they can take a swab to determine whether you are going into labour.
Hope you're only kept overnight. I am so with you in wishing this pregnancy was over xxxx

Hello, I don't post very often, but I too have very recently been in this situation and had a really positive outcome, so I hope you don't mind me sharing - I can totally empathise with you during this uncertain time. My waters went at 32 weeks , was admitted, monitoredhad steroids to mature baby's lungs, paediatricians from the neo natal unit visited and briefed us on what to expct should our baby be delivered early (we found this so reasurring and invaluable) and i was also diagnosed with obstetric cholistatis (totally unrelated to the waters breaking!) i was sent home after a few days on ante natel ward with Urso acid and vitamin k for the OC - and then went into labour and subsequently had our baby 6 weeks early at 34 weeks gestation by csection after labouring for a day. Our little boy is now 7 weeks old and after an initial two week stay in the neo natal unit, is thriving. It is frivolous to say don't worry because of course you will be concerned but I have been there and of course if baby can hold on then great but equally they can totally cope with being born early... I had OC with my first son too and it was managed with the urso acid and i delivered him at 37 weeks Sending you lots of best wishes x

Hope it all works out xx
You're in DVH, right? I'm sure they're taking great care of you, but if there happens to be a midwife there called Wendy (fairly large lady), then name drop me and she'll take extra special care of you (she's H's auntie and looked after me post-birth and was an absolute gem).
