When E is home she LOVES dancing! If ever there's music on she'll be dancing, she asks me to put her CD player on and has even figured out how to get the music to play on my iPhone. So, Ive started taking her to a little toddler dance class as I thought it would be something nice we could do just the two of us but she just cries the whole time we're there and won't leave my lap. We've been going 3 weeks now and its been the same every week. The annoying thing is if I put any of the songs on for her at home she can do all the dance moves to it, without prompting and even asks for these songs so she can dance to them.
I know she enjoys dancing so do I just keep taking her and hope she gets over whatever it is or do I just cut my losses and try again when she's a bit older. She's 19 months and the class I'd for 18 months to 3 years. Thanks!

I have no idea. Do you think she is shy/embarrassed? Maybe because there are older children there? She's obviously enjoying it to the extent that she's taking in the moves if she's doing them at home?

I'd probably stop going just now and try again in a month or two. Does she go to any other little groups?

Stop going. It's clearly not fun for either of you.
