There's ipod docks in the rooms on our maternity ward and my H wants to prepare some songs or albums in case I want music.
More for fun, what did you or would you put on your soundtrack for labour?

Having a home birth meant I could have anything I wanted but it never occured to me. Instead I got fed up of midwives mobile ringtone. This time I'm planning to prepare some "whale sounds" and relaxing music, plus something more upbeat (Bon jovi!! Lol) if I feel I need energizing

Nothing, crash section under general for Lucas and another semi emergency for Isaac so no songs at all.
With William I played a few songs to my bump just before I delivered, ie our wedding song etc

I prepared a 10 hour iPod mix of all the songs I love - some relaxing some upbeat, just nothing really thrashy! As it was it started irritating me and I told H to turn it off after about 10 songs! We are listening to it now at home though as I feed and it's lovely!

I had an 'upbeat-lets-get-this-baby-out' soundtrack on iTunes and an 'I'm-chilled-and-having-a-lovely-birth' soundtrack. Never got as far as the upbeat one, was enjoying the chillout one too much!

PG, that's a good idea to prepare two! Sounds like the more chilled out the better... although not sure I can go as far as whale sounds, HF!

I had my iPod packed and was planning to just put it on shuffle, but when I asked my H to put it on during labour he couldn't find it (it was exactly where I'd said it was but I was in the birthing pool at the time so couldn't get it myself!) so ended up with a rather strange whaley type CD that was already there. I actually quite enjoyed it, surprisingly!

During actual labour I had a lovely mix of songs that are important to us... Our wedding and honeymoon songs and also played the Adele albums. By hour 20 of labour I was in no mood for anything other than silence but when I did eventually get my c section e was delivered to Michael Jackson "abc".
