I'm getting SPD type pain the last week or so. I had it with pregnancy 1, not so much 2 though.
Can anyone remind me what I can do to help please? My mind is a bit blank. I did Metafit today which I think has aggravated it, I'm doing boxing tonight so guessing g that will be ok.
I remember keeping legs together in the car and pillow between knees at night, any other pointers?

Hi LR, I saw a physio yesterday for what I thought was the start of spd, she reckoned it wasn't because I could do a knee lift without any pain. She recommended pelvic tilts, tightening stomach muscles as much as possible as often as possible and doing the claw(?) Move to strengthen glutes to better suport the pelvis, you probably know all these being so fit as you are. Don't lift heavy weights where possible, don't slouch, turn on your side and put your feet on floor when getting out of bed.
She also said there are surges of relaxin hormone at 14 weeks then about 22 which would almost tie in with your pain?
Hope its not spd xx

That's interesting - I'm 22 weeks.
Thanks for that. I do a fair amount of ab work already. I'm not sure what the claw is though! Will ask H when he gets home.
I took some Anadin before boxing and the pain has gone now so not sure if its eased or its the pain killers kicking in.

I've maybe called it yhe wrong thing - lie on your side, legs bent stacked on top of each other. Open raise top knee as far as you can without rolling back do ten reps. I was rolling back so I get H to put his hand lightly ob my hip while I do it so I feel pressure if I start rolling backwards.
