I'm really worried I've been prescribed solpadol tablets for severe spd , I've just been told they could cause breathing difficulties with baby I'm 35 weeks today advice and reassurance needed please X

Sorry to hear that you've got severe SPD - I know how painful and debilitating it can be.
I'm no expert but I'd be surprised if a doctor prescribed you anything for a pregnancy-related condition that could harm your baby. I'm guessing the dosage you've been prescribed in low enough not to affect your baby?
But can you phone your doctor, just to voice your concerns and get some reassurance? That's what I'd do, I think. And I'm sure your doctor won't mind...

Ah, that must be a relief to have sorted it all out. Hurrah!

Hi vixy momma, I had severe SPD and wasn't given any meds - just crutches lol
I just delivered a 9lb 12 oz baby by c section and was astonished because I was up and walking pretty normally the morning after !
I went into hosp on crutches hobbling like an old lady and had major surgery and walked out on air !
I'm not bragging honestly I just wanted to let you know it goes ! And how quickly !! And the feeling is immense ! You get to walk and go up stairs and sit comfortably and I slept ! No more waking in agony cuz hubby turned over and jostled the bed !!!
Hang on in there hun. Baby is worth every twinge!!!
Follow Dr advice on meds and ask about hydrotherapy, apparently that helps alot !! As does a warm hot water bottle :0)
Best wishes xx
